Our story

A Home for the People of Hawai‘i and Beyond

In 2023, a group of four people met in a living room and began to pray for a healthy, deeply rooted church in Hawai'i. There was not a vision to plant The Garden Honolulu, just a yearning and a desire to see Jesus move in the islands. Over the next three years, that group of four began to grow through Bible studies, prayer nights, worship nights, and sabbath dinners - we now call these nights "The Table."

Pastor Reece and Sarah had a vision that they were called to plant churches in Hawai'i 10 years ago, and in 2024 that vision began to become clear. Following nights in the word, praying, growing, and sitting with Jesus - The Garden Honolulu was organically planted. We believe that God is doing something beautiful here in Hawai'i, and we are honored to join Him in His great work. We believe that God has a beautiful plan for everyone's life - and by becoming rooted in Christ and growing in community, we believe our lives can bear fruit that will change the world. Our vision is to see Hawai‘i redeemed and raised up as a healing hub for the world. Everything we do flows from this mission:

Growing in Community – Living life together with authenticity and love, while pursuing Jesus as one family.
Fruit to the World – Being sent out to serve, heal, and impact the nations.
